Brilliant I didn’t enjoy science at school and I can only remember names like Faraday and Boyle but not why. This book is helping me remember,learn their contributions to our world. A biographical entry for the biggest names but also an Index at the back where you might look up a subject then find the page and the scientist. Last entry is Tim Berners-Lee.So much nicer to sit in an easy-chair and read rather than at a desk, looking at a computer screen.There’s enough detail for each scientist…

Scientific information made interesting and accessible This is a really fantastic book – beautifully presented, it has lots of colours for the different scientists, lots of illustrations, quotations and bite size sections of important information. A brilliant, beautifully made book – buy it, right now! What a beautifully designed and presented book!I wasn’t 100% sure whether this was a young adult book, or one intended for ‘growedups’, and now that I have it in front of me I still don’t know, and it doesn’t matter in the slightest.
