Brilliant I didn’t enjoy science at school and I can only remember names like Faraday and Boyle but not why. This book is helping me remember,learn their contributions to our world. A biographical entry for the biggest names but also an Index at the back where you might look up a subject then find the page and the scientist. Last entry is Tim Berners-Lee.So much nicer to sit in an easy-chair and read rather than at a desk, looking at a computer screen.There’s enough detail for each scientist…

Scientific information made interesting and accessible This is a really fantastic book – beautifully presented, it has lots of colours for the different scientists, lots of illustrations, quotations and bite size sections of important information. This presentation makes it really accessible and interesting. It’s suitable for adults and older children alike. What a beautifully designed and presented book!I wasn’t 100% sure whether this was a young adult book, or one intended for ‘growedups’, and now that I have it in front of me I still don’t know, and it doesn’t matter in the slightest.
