A perfect recipe for disaster on the USS Valley Forge . . .

A lone US starship . . . a captain who has “snapped” . . . other officers in the brig and on the brink of mutiny . . . an enemy task-force 60 minutes out . . .

And five midshipmen, assigned to the Valley Forge as part of a “training” exercise . . .

The year is 2369. Midshipman Astrid Amundsen and four other fourth-year Naval Academy midshipmen are assigned to the USS Valley Forge. They don’t expect to see combat.

Their expectations are turned upside down when an enemy task-force is detected.

The Valley Forge is outnumbered, eleven to one. Normal protocol dictates that the Valley Forge break off contact.

But Captain Jefferson has snapped. He orders the Valley Forge to engage the enemy task-force.

Jefferson’s bridge-officers resist. They’re on the verge of mutiny.

Jefferson throws them in the brig.

Now it is up to Astrid Amundsen to guide her fellow midshipmen through the crisis and work with the eight Marines to deal with the captain and protect their ship.

The enemy’s goal is to board and capture the Valley Forge.

Astrid’s goal, if she cannot emerge victorious, is to make the enemy pay dearly.

When the battle rages, who will live? Who will die?

Order Astrid’s War now and find out!
