Blood Orchids, first in this series, on sale for .99 for a limited time only!

Paradise hides darkness behind a beautiful face.

The teen in the car at the base of the cliff is no suicide.

When a nameless young girl is found in a crashed vehicle on the rocks of one of Maui’s black lava cliffs, Detective Lei Texeira can’t rest until she finds out what really happened. She blazes through all the wealth and poverty of Maui island society in her quest for justice even as she faces the personal demons of commitment and revenge that threaten the only real love she’s ever known.

That girl should never have crossed me.

I know who I am—a procurer of beautiful things for people who can afford them. Men and women for pleasure, fine art for collectors, and money for the mob. Lei Texeira is nothing but an annoyance. I’ll take everything she loves, burn down her house, and take her life, too…just because I can.

“Toby Neal’s stories have a relentless, charged energy that heat up every page.” Holly Robinson, author of Sleeping Tigers

Grab this fast paced mystery with a twist of romance, and take a trip to Hawaii with the series that’s sold more than a million copies!

Good company It would appear that there are many echoes from Lei’s past in this story; from people who she has upset in a previous investigation, to the man who abused her as a child. In this book however, she does manage to confront and defeat that particular demon.Despite my…

It A refreshing change that the characters didn’t use foul language all the time .. This is the first book I have read by this author and at times I did feel I was missingsomething about Lei’s traumatic past. However, it didn’t spoil the story. It made a refreshing change that the characters didn’t use foul language all the timeas so many authors seem to think is necessary – in my opinion it isn’t!Also it was good that there were several investigations going on at the same time, even if eventually they tied up. I liked Lei as a character -…

Brilliant storytelling through all the books. All the books in this series are superb – at the moment I am reading the seventh in the series. A little bit of everything, and lots of descriptions of Hawaii, some of which places I am familiar with. I am really enjoying Toby Neal’s work and will be sad when I get to the last book, which I have already downloaded in readiness. Thank you, Toby.
