The D-Day invasion was the tip of the sword that penetrated the axis of evil on June 6th, 1944. Thousands of young men braved the immense carnage and devastation on the Normandy beaches in an effort to eradicate the Nazi grip on Europe. This book is a 75th anniversary commemoration of the greatest operation in military history. All aspects of the invasion will be analyzed and presented in a narrative format. From the planning by the Allied leaders, the double agents and deception operations that confused the Nazis about where the landing would occur, the code-breakers at Bletchley, the ingenuity of Percy Hobart and Andrew Higgins, and the stories of the bravery and courage will all be presented to the reader in an analytical-narrative tale.
