Excellent A really interesting story set in the Channel Islands. Strange occurrences with murders on the island of Sark. After visits to all the islands for our holidays a few years ago Lara’s stories are of particular interest bringing back many memories of the beautiful scenery and history of Sark. Once starting this book I found it hard to put down – and who or what is the ‘Beast’ who appears to be committing the murders and why? Absorbing and highly recommended.

Absolutely unputdownable!!!! You can tell this is book 2 from the author, she has found her natural rhythm and the book flows seemlessly from intrigue, suspense and thrills along a rollercoaster that is the Dark Sky Island. Her ability to paint a picture with words transports the reader to this little island with its rugged coastline and intriguing inhabitants.

Gloriously dark Gloriously dark. Dearman captures your attention from the very first page. I just love the way you’re carried right in the heart of the drama, you can taste the air, visualise the twists and turns. A truly brilliant read that follows on from Devils Claw, although stands alone perfectly well.
