A top notch read for anyone who travels or dreams of travel A fascinating and illuminating read, especially for someone who hasn’t travelled as much as they would have liked, but is full of wonder for all the places the world has to offer. It’s charmingly-written, funny, always interesting and offers a perspective on the experience of travel as well as the local customs and quirks of the places visited, which is at once personal to the writer and universal in the way it connects with the reader’s own feelings and experiences. A brilliant book.

I had the pleasure of travelling with her earlier this year and she really does aim to experience EVERYTHING so she can share it fully with her readers afterwards. Her energy is so infectious, both in real life and on paper.Departures is a series of stories from Anna’s 20s and 30s: each one a different, meaningful travel…
