A huge disappointment This is the first Wizarding World instalment that I have actively disliked. Sadly The Crimes of Grindelwald is less about Newt and his creatures and more about gaining some backstory about the characters following the events of the first book; this explains its poor rating generally across reviewers. Readers adore Newt and they adore his creatures, learning about them and seeing them to come to life on the screen with all of their quirks. The Screenplay loses all of those nuances and…
