May suit a young person or a ‘complete beginner’ but not for the ‘more advanced beginners’ Not entirely what I was expecting – I did look at few pages before purchasing the book and the postage was more than the book itself (bought from World of Books on Amazon) so I won’t complain a lot but I don’t feel I can gain much, if anything at all, from this book. Just to put things into perspective, I own both digital and DSLR cameras and am learning about the different settings – aperture, ISO, shutter speed…. I know what they all mean but wanted a useful guide, all in one, to help me…

Quite basic,. If you’re intermediate (ish) at photography… maybe not suited to you. The book is easy to read and has good photos to show the difference between using different methods and settings in different scenarios. Very nicely presented hardback with some nice sample pictures. However, the book did not give me what I hoped for. It didn’t teach e much outside what I had learnt through a certain level of camera use and experience. I think it would be ideal for a beginner or those who struggle to work out how to frame a shot, having difficulty seeing what is…

Exellent book! I bought this as a xmas present for my grandaughter and she absolutely loves it! she’s had her first camera for only a few weeks and some of the pictures she has taken are amazing for anyone let alone a twelve year old. The book assumes you know nothing and guides you through the whole process of practical and theory in a simple language with hundreds of photographic examples, highly recommend!
