Great new crime series! This is the second book in author Marion Todd’s DI Claire Mackay crime/police procedural series. The first (See Them Run) set a high bar for a first novel and In Plain Sight raises it higher still. The action starts straight away when a baby is kidnapped in full view of police officers and runners beginning a race and doesn’t really let up until the adrenaline fuelled finale! I’ve sometimes been disappointed when a new detective appears on the literary crime scene and I don’t really ‘get’ them…

Fantastic read Wow I loved this book… After reading the first book (See Them Run) I couldn’t wait and it certainly didn’t disappoint. This fast moving story was easy to follow and the characters were very relatable. I feel that I can picture myself following DI Claire McKay around the streets of St Andrews and Dundee..Well done Marion can’t wait for the third book in this series ðð
