Give this a miss, but Rough Guide instead. I usually like how lonely planet books are useful, interesting, helpful and have inside knowledge to help the traveler.Not this issue. A big disappointment.The whole book is below their usual standard.My biggest complaint is how they have literally copied and pasted sentences/paragraphs throughout the book.On reading about the Caribbean areas I’m planning to visit, there was an introduction to the Caribbean side early in the book. Then reading the Limon Province section,…

Trip-planning Perfection I’m a real fan of the Lonely Planet books. Packed with loads of hints, tips and travel goodies, they’re always a great read, even if there’s no specific holiday in mind. This book on Costa Rica was actually bought for a family member who’s travelling there later in the year, so hopefully they find the book as useful as I have for other places.
