Functional Guide A good enough guide to point out the highlights of Istanbul. Compact, easy to carry around. In desperate need of updating in some areas though, especially with regards to prices. Sure, prices are always going to change, so there will always be inaccuracies, but some things here were so massively off that they clearly haven’t been updated for a very long time, way longer than the date of this edition would suggest.

all you need istanbul in your pocket you often dont want to look like a tiurist pulling your huge guide book out and this great little book certainly helps there. it is perfect to take on short breaks, easy to stash away and gives you a good run down of the must see sight plus local tips and information. the pull out map is also great.

A great little guide! Helpful and informative like all Lonely Planet guides. It allowed us to discover a beautiful spot we wouldn’t have found otherwise (Rumeli Hisari fortress). Recommended!
