Disappointing Maybe the huge amount of publicity for this book led to unrealistically high expectations, but I was somewhat disappointed in the end. Covering so much ground,it is necessarily superficial, so that the reader gets a bit tired of skating over so much of human history. Although the book covers some of the same ground as Yuval Harari’s ‘Sapiens’ (origin of agriculture,etc.),it lacks the insights and novelty that made Harari’s book such a success.
