Thrilling and adrenaline filled! A great debut from Daniel Cole. Ragdoll is Daniel Cole’s debut novel and  actually began life as a TV screenplay, which is ironic when you read it and think what a good, fast-paced movie it would make! Wolf (William Oliver Layton Fawkes) is a Detective well known for  the wrong reasons – namely attacking a serial killer known as ‘The Cremation Killer’ after he was found ‘not guilty’  his high-profile trial. A fantastic debut! Ragdoll by Daniel Cole is a book which has been sat on my bookshelf for some time now giving me the eye.  I have been desperate to read this intriguing tale for such a long time, and I have finally managed to do so!  Let’s face it, regular readers of the blog will know that I like my crime fiction with lots of bodies and blood.  In fact, the gorier, the better.  So on hearing that the killer creates a ragdoll made of severed limbs and various other body parts….well, there was no way I could…

WILL NOT BE READING BOOK 2 It was a relief to get to the end of this book. As much I quite liked Wolf the rest of the characters were in my option utterly boring. The plot droned on endlessly and I did skip parts due to lack of interest. The last 50 or so pages were the best in the book but the ending could have been so much better. Very disappointing and will definitely not be wasting my time on the next book.
