THE WEB OF TENEBRAE
KL-62 was created in a test tube–a perfect specimen of a human male. His body and life belong to science, but his mind is quiet, cold and sharp. On the way to be transferred to a remote space station, he learns he is about to be the subject of one last experiment–and it will prove fatal.
So he chooses to break out of the only environment he has ever known, and crash-land on an abandoned prison planet called Tenebrae.
THE PARADOX INITIATIVE
A deafening crash comes from the back of Kestrel Evans’ shop. A ten-foot cylinder appears out of nowhere and flattens all the boxes– And out of it steps a young man in a leather jacket, toting a sawed-off shotgun, and smoking a cigarette. Which is EXTREMELY illegal. His name is Jack Wolfe, and he demands Kestrel’s help in tracking down a dangerous scientist who may be heading up a galactically-forbidden time-travel project: THE PARADOX INITIATIVE. In an interstellar race, Kestrel and Wolfe are pitted against disease, android soldiers, ghosts from Wolfe’s past, and the Initiative’s carefully-woven web– A web that could kill them all if they become entangled.
KNIGHT OF NOVUS
John Cannon was once a ruthless killing machine. The Elder Knight for the Kingdom of Novus–a new world where emotions had been eradicated by an implant, and everything that created perceived “inequality” between citizens of Novus was confiscated and destroyed. But John Cannon became a Traitor and killed the King, and rebels destroyed the emitters to the implants, allowing the people of Novus to experience emotion again. Now, John is learning to navigate this foreign territory with the help of these rebels, and to raise his children in a more “human” way than he’s ever known, all the while trying to salvage remnants of the world that existed before. But not everyone is content with sailing the rough seas of these newfound emotions–especially other former Knights of Novus, who want nothing more than to go back to the implant, and erase all emotion, and the old world, forever.
