It was only ok….. I’ve read novels by Erica James before and have enjoyed them. I like her literary style and she draws her characters well. However, this wasn’t one of the better stories. The characters in this novel were a bit of strange mix, almost too contrived and some quite unreal? Max and Laura came across as too perfect and a touch unbelievable (maybe I’m too cynical that happy couples like that can be real??) Enjoyable Read In Idyllic Setting….. Will it be the perfect holiday for Izzy Jordan when she escapes to Corfu? An enjoyable read based in an idyllic setting, some good characterisation and some lovely descriptions. A little predictable, perhaps,and not my favourite from this author but some guaranteed escapism for sure. A good holiday read – from your armchair or otherwise.
