Absolute bargain… OK, so 6 books for a little bit of money. I am about halfway through the last volume right now, but had to break off to post this review. Yes, there are a few errors here and there, and I’m not totally comfortable with certain words surviving for so long, and sometimes I felt I’d read the story before, but hey, I’ve read thousands of books and this set of six is pretty good. I gave it 5 stars for one particular reason though…….the word “decimated” was actually used correctly ! I may not…
Excellent. I have always been a fan of Post Apocalyptic fiction, having avidly consumed many books over the years, I had recently strayed away from the genre, but seeing this series at a bargain price, I was tempted to give it a try. I am so glad I did. So many PA books are very “Samey” , with the normal,”walking dead, deadly virus” plot, that it was a refreshing change to immerse myself in the world the Authors wove. Human devolution……. It’s difficult to compare The last survivors box set to anything I’ve previously read as it’s the first of its type for me.It would be great to think that humanity would work together in an apocalyptic event but The last survivors is most probably a more realistic account of how it would be, I thought the story was very cleverly written with lots of twists and turns to keep it interesting, I have read other novels by Bobby Adair and enjoy his writing style and sometimes dark humour,…
