A comprehensive guide for all Route 66 fanatics. I bought this book as it was recently published and we were due to travel on route 66 – this book was invaluable as unfortunately Route 66 is not always easy to follow- roads are closed, road signs have been removed by collectors . My son was determined to follow the route as exactly as possible and I spent many happy hours directing using this book, a road map and our Sat Nav – most of the time this was to make sure we were going in the right direction!!We had a wonderful adventurous…
A good companion to other R66 texts This was purchased to support another text regarding Routs 66 and it did this happily. Giving a contemporary account of the historic route, it shows good colour photos with brief descriptions about key points and must-visit destinations across the eight states.More research would be needed beyond these descriptions by those planning any trip, but enough is included to suggest high points – and importantly, what still exists and is still open.
