You will hear it for yourselves, and it will surely fill you with wonder. As I open my first book by Marco Polo, a 13th-14th Century merchant, explorer and writer – I look at the opening quote and blink for a moment. Truly, this can speak for the wonder of a book. Opening a book, beginning to read it and to be filled with wonder. It made me think about this story before I even began to read it, and I had to put it down for a moment. Frankly, I didn’t even know Marco Polo was an actual person; I believed it to just be a children’s game to play – according to Wikipedia…

Cute! These books are such lovely additions to my bookshelf. I take one a day on the train to commute into work. They are the size of your hand so fit very nicely into a small purse or bag. I have almost collected the whole 80 copies but my absolute favourites are “Goblin Market” and “How to Use Your Enemies”.I am a bit of a prude about scuffing book covers and keeping books in a good condition – the best thing about these is that they are never out of the house for more…

These are little books of excerpts These are little books of excerpts, I think I was just expecting ‘more’ somehow. Not the sellers fault, they are exactly as described but I wouldn’t have bought these if I had picked them up in a book shop.
