If you ever go across the sea to Ireland……….take this little book Having never been to Ireland before it was all a bit daunting when we decided that a month in the Emerald Isle would be a good holiday. Armed with this book we found that it was all much easier than we’d anticipated. Well written, easy to read, splendid photography, clear maps and lists of places to see on ’round trips – we were ensured an easy maiden voyage. Also listed are places to eat and market days. I’d never describe it as a travel bible, but if one has never been to this beautiful…

Excellent book to guide the visitor around the Republic of Ireland This is an excellent book to have with you when travelling in Ireland. I was there for the first time in September 2015, in Cork and Kerry, and found this guidebook invaluable in showing good places to visit, how to get there, and what to see when you arrived. It was a constant companion along every road and at every stop. Also the photographs in it are stunning.

A lovely guide A different approach to the usual Eyewitness books, this has 25 drives covering the whole of N. Ireland and Eire. However, the detail is just as comprehensive as you would expect from these books. Each drive tells you the distance, how many days to allow, road conditions, activities, where to stay, eat and drink, and shop – all with the familiar detailed, numbered map and info on all the places en route. The pull-out map is plastic-coated so will be hard-wearing.
