In the zone I bought this book for its explanations on the ‘zone system’ and it didn’t disappoint. Although some of the subject matter is not particularly to my taste the methods described can be applied to any subject.In a world crammed full of books on photography it’s one of the few I would recommend.

A Gorgeous Book A the moment I am leafing through the book in awe at the beauty of the images; as one with only a fairly recent interest in photography, I had started to find old B & W prints more interesting than the products of my Dslr, hence my purchase of the Blakemore book…one day I hope that it will catalyse my interest in the old ways of film in a practical sense. The dense technical info I take on trust from one with such a career.
