Well written story of love and loss Katherine and Nick first met as teenagers on holiday, falling in love they promise to stay in touch while back in school but Nick forgets her and Katherine’s heart is broke. Unable to find a relationship that matches what she once had she throws herself into her work as an architect . Years later Katherine is shocked when Nick walks through the door asking her to design his new home, scared her emotions will not cope with this she initially refuses but quickly realises the only way to move on…

Refreshing I did enjoy reading this. It’s a refreshing change from the usual formula of modern romance novels to be able to concentrate on their love story rather than their bedroom antics! I liked the characters of Katherine and Nick so would have enjoyed a longer ending – I don’t want to comment too much as I don’t want to spoil the story for someone who hasn’t read it yet, but the huge gaps that seemed to loom between the lifestyles of the lovers was resolved a bit too quickly and neatly for me…
