What if your first love came back on the scene…30 years later?

After yet another disaster, Lorrie is calling time on online dating. She might be single in her 40s, but she’s got a good job and wonderful children, and she’s happy. This, Lorrie decides, is going to have to be enough.

That is until she receives a very unexpected request from France. Antoine Rousseau, who had once turned a lonely French exchange trip into a summer of romance, wants to see her – after 30 years.

But Lorrie is a responsible woman. She can’t exactly run off to Nice with the man who broke her teenage heart…can she?

A wonderfully funny novel, perfect for fans of Jill Mansell, Joanna Bolouri and Milly Johnson.

Never Look Back I normally love Fiona Gibson’s books but I was left feeling distinctly underwhelmed by this one and I can’t really put my finger on why – well, that isn’t strictly true. I spent most of the book mentally screaming at Lorrie to stop ignoring what was right under her nose and plain to those of us reading this tale and just get on with the business of loving the right man. All this faffing about and mooning over her teenage crush doesn’t sit well on a middleaged woman and I just wanted to shake…

Around the same time her job, as team leader on a cosmetics counter, comes under threat as the result of a…

A highly entertaining and fun read. Lorrie is a wonderful character. She has two grown up children and is trying the dating scene again which doesn’t seem to be going terribly well. Being in my forties also, there was a lot that I could relate to in Lorrie’s life. Apart from the dating I should add. Having read Lorrie’s dating disaster’s, I don’t think I would be in any hurry to join it if I ever found myself single again. There are lots of fabulous characters throughout the story. I really liked Lorrie’s lodger for…
